Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Coach
"Always eat your protein foods first, veggies next, avoid the high sugar/high starch snacks, don't drink within 30 minutes before or after meal, take each bite slowly and chew well, take your vitamins everyday, commit to a regular exercise routine, the list goes on, right?!" You know the drill...
Remember all those important changes you willingly embraced after surgery?
Scenario 1
But now, the flesh wounds have healed, you've returned to work and home life as usual- circumstances seem to have quickly briought you back to normal- your pre-bariatric surgery "normal.. But is that what you want? Today you find yourself often "forgetting" to take your daily vitamins and supplements during the day, "too busy" for that weekly exercise plan you were once so committed to, straying a little further away each day from your program's dietary recommendations, and no longer feeling, motivated, connected to, or supported by the monthly WLS support groups. And worst of all, you're starting to feel the negative effects of not following the program- fatigue, malaise, weight stalls and maybe even some weight regain. You're not alone!
Scenario 2
Or maybe you've lost your excess weight and are doing pretty well in following your program's guidelines. What a wonderful feeling to succeed in the weight battle that has plagued you for so many years! However, you now you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by the new challenges of living in an average-size body... You unknowingly ask yourself, what size do I wear now anyway??? You begin to notice the increased attention from strange men & women, and experience the unrelenting remarks about your body and weight from family, friends, and co-workers (sometimes supportive, sometimes discouraging, and othertimes quite jealous) It can be too much at times! Maybe you're even dating for the first time ever, or for the first time again a very loooong time, and it's more challenging and uncomfortable than you ever couldve expected!
We've been there... and it's tough! Good news is there's help and there's hope at WLSCoach.com
